Janet Lim, M.D.
Board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist
Dr. Janet Lim is a board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in treating and managing cataracts, glaucoma, functional eyelid pathologies, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Lim grew up in southern California and attended the University of California, Irvine. There she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science. She continued on at UC Irvine and studied both medicine and business, receiving a dual MD/MBA degree. While there she was granted entrance into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in medical school and the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society in business school. After graduating, Dr. Lim completed her internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. Then she went to the renowned Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois at Chicago to complete her ophthalmology residency.
After graduating from residency, Dr. Lim worked for three years as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas, Houston where she taught residents both surgical and clinical skills. Dr. Lim arrived in Eugene in 2017 and has been seeing and treating patients in our community since then.
In her free time, Dr. Lim enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She enjoys film photography and is trying to learn golf to keep up with Dr. Gross. Dr. Lim is excited to be a part of Eugene Eye Clinic and is thrilled to continue to serve the community.
